Edit in Photoshop 32bit with Lightroom 64bit

I got the question whether it is possible to edit in Photoshop 32bit with Lightroom 64bit version, because some Photoshop plugins only work on the 32bit platform.
This can be done! You can add the Photoshop 32bit as an external editor.
To do this, go the Edit menu, choose Preferences and click into the External Editing Tab.
Then click on the ‘choose’ button in the additional External Editor and point the photoshop.exe file in your file system.
In most cases ‘C:>Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4’. Then click on the preset drop down menu and click “Save Current Settings as a new Preset.” Name it like CS4 32bit or Photoshop 32bit.

Don’t forget to set up your File Format, Color Space, Bit Depth, etc.
Then when you want to take an image from Lightroom into Photoshop, it will appear as a choice when you right click and go to Edit in.

Note that this will not work if the 64bit version is opened, in that instance, the images will then open in the 64 bit version. So you have to make sure that the 64 bit version is closed !
